Well, now that I have settled down from all the holidays and stuff, I can update this journal here.
So, 2017 has been a bad year in terms of productivity, with me taking more breaks from comic-making than usual. I did try out some art contests, so maybe it's not all too bad. Anyway, I hope I can draw more comic pages this year. I also plan to improve my art since it felt like I haven't improved much the past year. ): Oh, and I made a tumblr page where I post my pixel art! I hope to do more pixel art this year too!
Alright, enough about last year, this year I've made a Twitter account! Like my Facebook page, I'll be posting WIPs and updates about my comics, and maybe post some random doodles too! 8D Hopefully I can post more frequently on both of these social media platforms. (You can also send me fanart of my comics on both. >8D)
That's all I can think of for now. Below are links where you can find my comics and stuff! 8D
Tapas (formerly Tapastic) (Where I post The Masked Henchman and The Ogre Cook)
LINE Webtoons (Where I also post The Masked Henchman)
SmackJeeves (Where I post my Pokemon fancomic... which is currently on hiatus.)
My food blog (Where I post about anime and food)
And these are pages where you can support me monetarily!

2023 Retrospective
Whew, what a year 2023 has been. If 2022 is the year where I am picking myself back up, 2023 is the year where I've gone full throttle! (I can't remember the last time I drew so many illustrations in a year!) In finding a new style of drawing (as seen most prominently in my food illustrations and some Vtuber fanart), I rediscovered my love of drawing. Ironically it had to happen when generative AI is getting more prominent, and Twitter (I refuse to call it X) is getting progressively worse. Despite all that, I won't stop drawing. I hope to start drawing comics again in 2024. I think I'm ready for a new series once I finish the epilogue of The Ogre Cook. (It's been more than a year since my last update, yikes!) Speaking of comics, I did participate in a Halloween-themed comic jam in Itch.io. (I also have the 3-page comic up on Twitter!) It was a fun exercise and also a good excuse to experiment with different styles! And while we're at it, if you're a fan of my comics, consider
2022 Retrospective
If 2021 is the year where I'm at my lowest, 2022 is the year where I'm mostly picking myself back up. It felt like my motivation only started to return in the last third of 2022. I've had a couple of serious talks with family members and I've also been doing some self-reflection/soul-searching in the process, and well, there are some things that need to change in my life if I want to continue doing what I love, which is drawing, and writing stories and making comics. Long story short, I may have to get a full time job to continue to support myself, since I haven't been able to get any consistent income for the past year or so from my art and comics. (It also didn't help that this AI art thing has been happening.) I have been taking steps in improving my chances of getting income, but it may take a while for any results to bee seen. With that said, now is a good time for me to show where you can directly support me monetarily! I have my Patreon page where I post simple doodles in
2021 Retrospective
Oh, man, 2021 is when I'm starting to feel tired or fatigued from the ongoing pandemic, and it's only the 2nd year of it! But no joke, my motivation for this year has hit rock bottom and I've been struggling to draw my comics, or anything else for that matter. It did not help that at one point I have not stepped out of the house for a couple of months. I'm feeling a little better now, so hopefully I can get back into drawing regularly. I do plan on completing The Ogre Cook in 2022 so that I can move on to my next comic projects. And while we're on that topic, I'm finally done with all the extra content for The Masked Henchman (apart from Patreon-exclusive stuff), and now I can use the extra time to actually work on my future comics! Now let's move on to a certain thing that has impacted my life in a big way. In the midst of my low motivation, I have fallen into a rabbit hole that is the Danmei (Chinese BL) fandom. Now, all this while I have been interested in BL, but previously I've
2020 Retrospective
I think we can all agree that 2020 is a really challenging time for most, if not all of us because of the pandemic. (The first couple weeks of lockdown has been surreal.) I did travel to Japan to visit my sister back in January/February just when the pandemic was starting to spread all around the world. I haven't traveled anywhere since then, but I do miss seeing my siblings. ;3; Regardless, I'm fortunate that no one in my family has gotten Covid-19. It's only a matter of time before all of us will get infected, but let's hope that by the time it happens things like the vaccine is readily available and the general population has gained some form of immunity. Anyway, enough about the dreary talk. Let's talk about art! In a monkey's paw kind of twist, my wish of getting enough time to work on my art has been granted in the form of the pandemic, forcing everyone (including myself) to stay at home and not go out unless absolutely necessary. 8D; This has given me enough time to join a
